The word “leader” gets thrown around a lot in business and in society, but what does being a leader mean? Leadership can be defined as the art of motivating a group of people or community towards accomplishing a common goal or purpose. Within the NAAAP global community, all members come together to build better, more sustainable career paths for API individuals everywhere. A non-profit organization originally founded in 1982, NAAAP continues to inspire, develop, and support the API community by connecting leaders across industries and communities through networking, educational events, trainings, and community service.
NAAAP is thrilled to present the Leadership Summit scheduled for the last Friday of August, the 27th from 12 p.m.- 4 p.m. EDT/9 a.m. – 1 p.m. PDT, day 4 and the last of the four-Fridays of the 2021 Leadership Convention by NAAAP. This final summit will round out the entire month-long event and exemplify what it means and how to be an effective API leader in today’s business world.
The exciting day will kick off with two keynote speakers: celebrity Kevin Kreider, one of the the stars of Bling Empire, and Arum Kang, CEO and co-founder of the popular dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. You do not want to miss this event! Other notable speakers and panelists include: Eric Won, Executive Managing Director, The Leadership Praxisand and Jeff Harry, Performer and Workplace Play consultant.
Fatima Sia, Leadership Summit Director, talks about how excited she is for attendees to participate in the last session of the day, “Play Your Way to Ikiagi,” with speaker Jeff Harry,
“I think (the session) serves as the foundation for all the sessions. Finding “Ikigai” can help a person find their purpose in life that can serve as the basis for their decisions. All other sessions will serve as handles to help the person redirect everything towards that purpose, whether through career or professional development, becoming an entrepreneur, or serving the community at work, giving them a sense of fulfillment in life. Participants will also enjoy that the session will be presented using a play.”
