Volunteers make the difference. 

Since 1982, NAAAP has grown a national network on the power of volunteerism. NAAAP is an organization where “We Build Leaders” by giving challenging and rewarding volunteer assignments, team support, and cost-efficient project budgets.  Our volunteers are thought leaders, seasoned strategists, advisors, operators, and rising stars who commit 1-10 hours a week. National volunteers may come from one of NAAAP’s chapters, other API organizations, or corporate sector. 

Thank you!  We love our volunteers.  We count volunteer hours, and better yet, we are fortunate to count volunteer years.

Programing - Program Director Positions

Programing

We are currently looking to fill several Program Director roles for the following national programs:

  • Self-Care & Wellness
  • WIN! (Women In NAAAP)
  • Adoptee
  • Culture, Heritage & Education

As a Program Director, you will be an integral part of our executive leadership team, overseeing your assigned program’s strategy, implementation, and impact. Your work will directly contribute to the empowerment of API leaders, as you’ll have the opportunity to lead a steering committee, collaborate with national and chapter leaders, and drive initiatives that create lasting change for API professionals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage your specific program, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Develop and implement program strategies in alignment with NAAAP’s vision and values.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure the success of your program and events.
  • Continuously assess and improve the program to meet the community’s evolving needs.
  • Represent NAAAP at public-facing events and partner with external organizations to strengthen our impact.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passionate, results-oriented individuals with a deep understanding of the intersectional challenges faced by Asian Americans.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and event planning skills.
  • A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence and inspire others and a commitment to creating inclusive spaces.

This volunteer position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while developing leadership skills and building connections with professionals from all backgrounds. The role is for three years, with the possibility of extension based on performance. This is a unique opportunity for personal growth and skill development in a supportive and inclusive environment.

This role will create blogs, email newsletter copy, web copy, and other content that engages and informs the target audience. The specialist will ensure that all content aligns with the marketing strategy and is optimized for SEO.

The position will play a key role in increasing earned media coverage and managing the event’s public image.

The Project Coordinator will be the main point of contact for internal teams and external vendors, ensuring smooth execution of the marketing strategy.
